William Basinski - Melancholia IIIThis is a mix based around a bunch of tracks from the 130701 vaults, expanded with the inclusion of a number of other artists, old and new, whose approaches I've found inspiring. It's all people who one way or another are stretching things. I love music that's rooted in strong melodies or rhythms, but I love it even more when these are eaten away at, undermined and pulled apart. Hopefully this is a mix that takes you on a journey and shows how broad 130701's scope might be.
