Tony Obr (aka tsone) makes deep, textured electronic music that blends glitchy rhythms, ambient haze, and bursts of raw sonic energy. Using modular synths and custom Max/MSP software, he builds evolving soundscapes that feel alive—sometimes meditative, sometimes chaotic, always rich in detail. His tracks explore the edges of rhythm and noise, often pushing into abstract territory while staying emotionally resonant.
He’s been releasing music on labels like txt, Home Normal, and Schematic. Beyond music. Tony teaches sound design and music tech in Arizona, is the primary coordinatoron of the Phoenix Synth Fest, and hosts online workshops where he breaks down complex gear in a super approachable way.
As you can see, Tony’s another activist pushing experimental and synthetic music forward in a big way. Huge thanks to such an inspiring human.
