"Azure roses and lilies float,
A bouquet’s hanging in our solar boat"
SOLAR BOATS can be seen in Ancient Egypt’s iconography, transporting the Pharaohs’ souls to the Otherworld. Such embarcations are also being used by GUESS WHAT to travel and explore the multidimensional Universe, which we can now call Multiverse.
This album presents an entertaining collection of short musical pieces, stemming from various areas of the Cosmos, which the duet GUESS WHAT have collected thanks to their Solar Boat trips alongside the Children In Space – children who, having grown up in outer-space, navigate through galaxies and nebulae as easily as we take the bins out or walk to school. The fascinating Multiverse is being explored and described from the children’s perspective as they drift through luscious cosmic landscapes. These landscapes evoke fun things to their imaginative minds, such as stickle bricks, combustible candies, glider kites or cloudform cakes, rather than scientific data or mathematical formulae. This is what GUESS WHAT have been after : a groovy, poetic and folkloric picture of some of the most remote parts of the Cosmos.
