What might the end of your world feel like?
What echoes will you leave behind?
It begins with a quiet unraveling —
layers of you peeling away, breath growing faint,
until even the sound of life forgets you.
And yet, beyond disappearance, you return — not as flesh,
but as a thread of spirit. Once again, you step into the light, onto the stage, as you were in the beginning: tender, raw, fiercely alive.
You sang through pain — not to survive,
but to leave something soft behind,
a ripple that lingers where language cannot reach.
Even if your body fades, let the music remain —
a glimmer, a trace,
a quiet gift for those who come after.
JENA JANG
Jena Jang is a South Korean multidisciplinary artist based in Prague, Czechia. Their work explores trauma healing through high-intensity performances, merging experimental noise, drone, power electronics, chanting, and screaming as forms of sonic detox.
Necrocore, a term they coined, describes ritualistic acts that transform pain into raw sound. Live sets feature headbanging, repetition, DIY mini-synthesizers, and piezo mics that capture air vibrations from motor-based objects.
They construct instruments from second-hand Tupperware and cardboard circuits, treating sound as a medium for transformation and circulation. Their practice draws on analog craft, ritual knowledge, immersive theatre, and physical engagement.
Jena’s work has been presented at a Chinabot label event with Saadet Türköz at Café OTO, at the Contingent Snapshot event with Udasi and Mia Zabelka during Ars Electronica, and at the Audio Art Festival. A live mix for Noh Radio (Istanbul) was later streamed by Radio Alhara (Bethlehem) and Radio Lora (Zürich).
