Detlef Weinrich, better known as Tolouse Low Trax, studied Fine Art at the Academy of Düsseldorf before becoming one of the defining figures of Germany’s underground electronic music scene. For 27 years, he was a core member of the influential electronic group Kreidler, helping shape their distinctive sound through decades of experimentation. He also co-founded the legendary Salon des Amateurs in Düsseldorf, a venue whose adventurous programming and uncompromising musical vision have inspired DJs, artists, and dancers from around the world.
As Tolouse Low Trax, Weinrich has carved out a singular path with hypnotic rhythms, raw percussion, dub-infused textures, and unconventional dance music that resists categorization. His acclaimed solo releases on labels including Bureau B, Themes For Great Cities, and Dekmantel have earned him a reputation as one of electronic music’s most distinctive and forward-thinking artists. Beyond his own productions, he has performed at leading festivals and clubs worldwide, constantly challenging expectations with deeply personal and unpredictable sets.
It’s hard to imagine a more fitting artist to soundtrack this special occasion.
