   Once again from the gutter of Roma Est and co-released with My Own Private Records we present ‘Annia’ the second release by NIDO, solo project of poetess Jonida Prifti (J A, Acchiappashpirt), an acute voyage through pulsating bass, spoken poetry, autoharp, synths & vocoder. Co-produced with Hugo Sanchez, ‘Annia’ expands on her previous release ‘Carnica’ with added low thump, slow motion electronics, industrial malaise, haunted chants and if possible an even more stoic approach.

   “Dragged by the inner voices that led me to places inhabited by female ghosts, my wandering stopped to perceive what nature wanted to tell me. I listened, capturing what was transmitted to me, through a tunnel full of electric shocks. “Appia Annia Regilla” spoke to me through those shocks and guided me to perceive her story. While I was walking in the “Caffarella” park something inescapable made my body stop in front of the Temple dedicated to her. From that moment I began writing the poem, slowly devoured by the elements present in the air, I felt the sound of the words that would soon come alive, to give voice to the events scattered in different points of space-time.” Jonida Prifti, 2025
