Man…I got this Motor Repair class, ELECT. REP. 347, two credit dog so the pressures off. Easy breezy, lots to learn, but the instructor is this real -deal scooter rooter type. Grey patchy hair, shirt buttoned wrong, eyes going in two directions, just amazing = starts every class with a nasty joke thats either from his cell phone or printed out from god-knows-what website…amazing….so anyway, we rolled through capacitor start- cap run motors too fast so we had an extra day, - the old-timer said he had some “old school style” motor style to dazzle us next class……so here comes the day, and he rolls in, tells a joke about a panty hose factory infected with wish-giving leprechauns, and empties this moldy box onto a table: contents include: =two old hamburgers = four permanent magnetic motor control circuits, =a vest made out of old rotten reel to reel tapes =and oil jar containing a green lint from WD-40 remains from dying horse manes =four small speaker leads =a six pack of the cheapest French tall boy brews =a small 40 watt amplifier with a replaced speaker covered in cottage cheese Speechless, our class watched as for an hour in silence as the teacher slowly patched all the materials together, hands that are usually covered in motor grease where now coated with bits of magnetic tape, hamburger remains, WD 40 horse hair, the works…..after this was all put together to form some unholy current path, he took the final lead - grinning evil like he had his hand on the nuclear-universe ending button, pulled into the makeshift amp and out came the WORST most twisted noise imaginable. The techs from the ELECT Tech (room 345) came running over thinking the cable trays were loaded with an ocean of fault current…..and stood stunned at the mangled terrible NOISE. The class seat complacent, some dude I also have NEC Code class with put his hat on backwards and did nothing….. the noise got louder, more complex, unraveled, just pure sonic terror…..after about ten minutes of this “demonstration”….the teacher stood up straight, looked at the class: all he saw was blank, unimpressed faces. None were shook or stunned. “Cmon guys……..????!!!!” Nothing, class silent. “Hello? I did this for the morning class and got the security pulled on me. One kid even vomited in his U of M jersey.” A kid counted his fingers. “Well give me something….!!!!” Unable to keep up with the tense silence in the class….. Sam, a second year Alternative energy dude, said: “Man,….we’ve seen it” “AND DONE RIGHT” -another student said, and the class erupted in chaos laughter. “WHERE??” AND HOW?” Instructor said, blown away. “What do you think we are here? I was listening to YERM FLOWERS cassette in my car on the way to class - and nearly half the class was at that NO FUN where BOLUS/EVIL MOISTURE did his hamburger thing and KILLED IT” Sam said, for the whole class. “Yeah, and since when is the “GAK” lp NOT the perquisite anymore for this stinking MOTOR REPAIR class?” And thats how it went down, our instructor in nothing but a EVIL MOISTURE, POSEUR SURPREME!!!! If have anyquestions, email him at : [email protected] (John Olson / Spykes)
