    1. Casino Vs. Japan - Summer Clip - Erik Kowalski is the man behind this creative juxtaposition of a moniker. What a casino would be challenging Japan to is far beyond us, but we do like this chap's music. It really does sound like summer music. Erik says that he drew some inspiration from this guy since his name was also Erik and he made music.

    2. Squarepusher - Rustic Raver - This raver may be rustic, but this is one wicked track! One of the first Tom Jenkinson tracks that we came across in our youth, this is a prime example of how to do Drum N Bass right. Yeah, you whip out your bass guitar, run in through all kinds of effects, and play that shit like Jaco Pastorius.

    3. The Future Sound of London - Far Out Sun Of Lung And The Ramblings Of A Madman - With a title like that, it's gotta be good! This track is one helluva trip. We love the jazz elements, the 6x6 drums, not to mention the sample taken from Aliens. Listening to this track in a dark room may make you think a vortex to another dimension is going to swallow you.

    4. Ovuca - Stacey - Aleksi Perälä is a very talented man and has quite the interesting sense of humor. He really brought out some of his insanity in his early work as Ovuca. The sporadic craziness of this track is just great. Love it.

    5. Boards of Canada - NLogax - Boards of Canada have become quite the heavyweights in terms of the IDM scene. We love them. We really love this particular track. Seriously, can you not dig the combination of those claps and that cow bell? Nuff said.

    6. Kid Spatula - Hard Love - Mike Paradinas is an incredible producer and his material spans across all kinds of genres. It is so hard to pick one to work with, so we decided to pick one that is symbolic of his work in general: all over the place. It's kinda mean, kinda silly, and emits energy like a supernova.

    7. EBI - Sou - Susumu Yokota is arguably the best contemporary electronic composer hailing from Japan. He is certainly one of the most prolific. This track has a very spacey, hypnotic feel to it and shows how beautiful acid can sound when its elements are made subtle.

    8. Biosphere - The Fairy Tale - While we both tend to favor Geir Jenssen's ambient work (which he seems to as well given the volume of it he produces), we thought that one of his more upbeat tracks would work well in this mix. It's got a great beat and synths, plus those pads add a great touch, as well as the sample of the guy saying "Rather like fairyland."

    9. Voodoo Child - Dog Heaven - We have both been long time fans of Moby, especially his ambient music. Not many people are familiar with his Voodoo Child moniker, which is a pity because he released our favorite album under it: The End Of Everything. He does such a great job of showing how beauty can be found in something quite simply constructed.

    10. Plastikman - Psyk - When we were in high school, we really liked listening to "trippy" sounding music. Richie Hawtin is very good at creating just that. The minimal style to this is so hypnotic and his use of those 303s can make you feel like you are going to have an out of body experience.

    11. Autechre - Montreal - We both love Audio Technology Research, AKA Autechre. We went with this track because Amber was the first album that we were exposed to growing up. It is difficult to describe just what it is that is so cool about this track. It is almost as if it were designed to be listened to an artificial intelligence or some kind of aliens.

    12. AFX - Untitled Ab3 Cd-#8 - This track is magical. It's reminiscent of the kind of music box-esque chimes that you hear in an infant mobile. You know, lullaby music. Give it a listen, it just might make you age regress.
